Free software, under the MIT License. These website terms explain the project and its limits. They do not replace or restrict the permissions granted by the software license.

01About the project

omastart is an independent startup manager for Omarchy Quattro, maintained by pablousx. These terms describe use of this project website and the distributed plugin. There is no paid subscription, hosted account, or managed startup service. The project is not affiliated with or endorsed by Omarchy or GitHub.

02Open-source license

The omastart software is provided under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies as permitted by that license, including its requirement to preserve the copyright and permission notice. If these terms conflict with the MIT License regarding the software, the MIT License controls. Third-party software and trademarks remain subject to their respective licenses and rights.

03Using the plugin

Use omastart on systems you own or are authorized to administer. Review the application and startup source before saving a change, and keep backups appropriate to your setup.

Changes affect startup configuration for future sessions. omastart does not start, stop, or restart applications. Disabling a globally enabled user service may create a per-user mask, which also blocks manual or indirect activation until restored. Unsupported or ambiguous configurations remain protected.

Undo and recovery depend on the saved record and the current file state. Edits made by other programs can prevent automatic restoration. Uninstalling omastart does not automatically undo startup changes or remove recovery backups.

04Warranty & liability

As stated in the MIT License, the software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

To the extent permitted by applicable law and as set out in the MIT License, the authors and copyright holders are not liable for claims, damages, or other liability arising from the software or its use. This includes problems such as unexpected startup behavior, configuration loss, or interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

05Website & external links

The website provides project information, a source download, and a simulated preview. The demo does not install the plugin or change your computer’s startup configuration. Information may become outdated as Omarchy and its dependencies evolve. External services, including GitHub Pages, operate under their own terms. Their inclusion is not an endorsement or a guarantee of availability.

The privacy policy describes local plugin data, browser theme storage, and website hosting.

06Updates & support

The project may change or discontinue features, downloads, or support. No uptime, compatibility, update schedule, or support response time is promised. New website terms will appear here with an updated effective date; they do not revoke rights already granted under the MIT License. For questions, use the public contact options linked from the maintainer’s GitHub profile.
